Surface Area

The Surface Area of a solid is the SUM of the areas of ALL of its faces. You can use a 2D representation of a solid called a net to find the surface area of the solid. 

(1/2 x 3 x 4) 2  + (5 x 11) + (4 x 11) + (3 x 11) =

12 + 55 + 44 + 33 = 144 cm2
