Factoring Expressions

Today we learned how to factor an expression, by pulling out the GCF and writing the new factors in the form of the distributive property

Factor the expression 45 +  60 using the GCF

Step 1 - Prime Factorization

Step 2 - Write the GCF            GCF = 3 X 5  =  15

Step 3 - Write using the Distributive Property

GCF ( First Circle    Operation    Second Circle)

15 ( 3 + 4)
